Life As We Know It
Different stories i've heard talk about growing up and maturity. It makes me wonder what life will be like in the future. Being in school with the same people for 12 years is going to be different not seeing them for the next 12 years after that. Truth, i'm scared. What will it be like waking up at 6 in the morning on a week day and going to work and not school? What will it be like going to your house and yelling, "Mom, Dad, " and no one will answer? The feelings I have about the future, are worse than having that sick feeling on a roller coster, waiting for the up's and down's to come.

That is really true. We all want to grow up, but are scared. I loved it! It was really great.
ReplyDeleteMorgan there is so much truth to what you've written, and really gets a persons thoughts going as they are reading this. I love your line, "It makes me wonder what life will be like in the future" That line I can relate too because I'm always curious about how things are going to turn out years or even months from now. I also love your line about the roller-coaster ride because I always compare SO much to that! Overall the whole thing is really good. Keep up the good work chick! :)
ReplyDeleteI really like the theme of this poem, i think it's a universal concept that a lot of high schoolers can relate to. i like the images of yelling "Mom, Dad" and the feeling of the roller coaster. i think you did a great job overall
ReplyDeleteThis piece of prose demonstrates much thought and consideration that is rather interesting.
